Connect Claude or ChatGPT

Set up and check your stores from Claude, ChatGPT or another app that supports MCP connectors.

What it is

The Emporiqa connector lets Claude, ChatGPT or another app that supports MCP work with your Emporiqa account. Ask it to create a store and set it up right in the chat: its colours, greeting, starter questions, tone and the website allowed to show it. It then offers the extras as a short checklist: a welcome popup and a goodbye popup, voice (it costs extra per voice conversation, so it asks first), ratings after a chat, photos from shoppers, suggested replies and the countries you sell to. Then try your chat, and connect your shop's catalog last, with the install steps it gives you. Later, ask it how each store is doing. It also offers two ready-made prompts, “Set up my shop” and “How are my stores doing?”, in apps that show them. It works through MCP, the open standard these assistants use to connect to other apps.

Add to Claude

Connect Claude

  1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Paste the connector address.
  3. Sign in to Emporiqa when asked. A page lists what the assistant will and will not be able to do. Press Allow.
  4. In a chat, open the tools menu and switch Emporiqa on.

Connect ChatGPT or another app

In ChatGPT, or another app that supports MCP connectors with sign-in, add a custom connector (MCP) with the same address. Then sign in to Emporiqa and press Allow. Menus in these apps change often, so check the app's own help for where custom connectors are.

What it can do

  • See your stores' names, and for the stores you own their setup, chat settings, activity counts, usage and spend
  • When a store's mailbox is connected, say how many customer emails wait to be answered and how many need a person. Counts only, never the emails
  • Create new stores for you. A new store starts with free signup credit, and no card is needed
  • Set up a store before its chat goes live: its look, greeting, starter questions, popups, tone, site lock, countries and features such as voice and add to cart
  • Give you the steps to connect your shop, with a direct link into your shop's admin on WooCommerce, Shopware, Drupal and Sylius, and links to the right dashboard pages

What it cannot do

  • Change a store's settings once its chat is live. You make those changes in the dashboard
  • Read conversations or anything about your shoppers
  • Change billing, delete anything, or manage your team and sign-in
  • See your connection secret

Why setup stops once the chat is live

Claude and ChatGPT read text from everywhere: web pages, emails, documents you paste in, and some of that text is written to give them instructions. So the connector can set a store up only before its chat is live, while no shopper sees the result and you try it yourself first. Every setup goes through the dashboard's own checks (the greeting must say the chat is an AI, and texts are plain, with no HTML) and is recorded in the store's activity log with the app's name. Once the chat has appeared on your shop, changes are yours: the assistant helps with the wording and links you to the dashboard page where you make them.

Security

  • Disconnect an app at any time in Profile > Connected apps.
  • Changing your password disconnects every connected app at once.
  • A store's sign-in rules (Settings > Security) apply to the assistant too. It opens that store only if you allowed it while signed in with a method the store accepts.

Troubleshooting

The assistant doesn't see Emporiqa

Open the tools menu in that chat and switch Emporiqa on. If it is not there, add the connector again and press Allow.

It says a store limits how its team signs in

Disconnect the app in Profile > Connected apps, connect it again, and sign in to Emporiqa with a method the store allows.

It says the store is live and gives a dashboard link

That is by design. Once the chat has appeared on your shop, you make changes in the dashboard. The assistant can still help with the wording: open its link and paste it in.
